Description
Grow a garden filled with the delightful California Bluebell, from freshly harvested Phacelia campanularia seeds. California Bluebell will produce gorgeous, blue flowers atop low growing, attractive green foliage. The stems of these graceful flowering plants are burgundy red, growing to a mature height of roughly 8 to 20 inches tall. California Bluebell wildflowers, as you can probably guess, originate in much of the western United States, in and around the state of California. They are known to thrive in dry, arid conditions, where most plant life is scarce, however they are also adaptive as well.
California Bluebell is categorized as an annual flowering plant, meaning the plants will grow quickly from seed, bloom profusely through the spring & summer months and later die with the first frost. The plants are known to readily self seed, so if the seeds fall to the bare ground beneath, new plants will grow the following growing season.
California Bluebell can be used as a cut flower, in floral arrangements and vases. The plants are also used to attract the ever decreasing population of honeybees as well. They can be grown in masses, in flower beds, along borders or in a naturalized setting as well. Their short growth also makes them great for pots & containers.
