By using this blend you are also helping the environment as these striking blooms attract many pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Grown as an annual flowering plant, sunflowers will bloom through the summer months and later wilt with the first frost. The flower heads can be stored and the seeds can be gathered for the following season if the birds and squirrels don't get to them!

Sunflowers develop long taproots, so it is best to use a loose sowing medium. They also do not transplant well, so if you decide to start some of your sunflowers indoors, we recommend using biodegradable CowPots. Direct sow in early spring when temperatures are at least 65°F.
